A few years later, he and his mother would flee Nazi Germany for England, to be followed shortly thereafter by his step father, Raimund. His siblings were born in England, Oliver in October 1938 and Sarah in February 1940. Peter's mother was Jewish, Raimund was not, a union that was forbidden(considered to be a racial disgrace)in Germany at the time. .
